Ashley's first season as head coach at Mission College is in 2020.
She was the head coach at Notre Dame de Namur in 2017 and 2018 and an assistant coach at Menlo College in 2016 and 2019.
A native of the East Bay, Carter attended Redwood Christian High School before attending Grambling State University, where she was a member of the Woman’s Softball team from 2004-2007. While at Grambling State, she worked as an athletics trainer. While in college she interned with the Olympic Training Center and Minor League Baseball. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Sport Management as well as her Master of Science Degree in Sport Administration.
After graduation, Ashley moved to Albuquerque to intern with the Triple-A Baseball team, The Albuquerque Isotopes, became a USSSA Area Director and was the head coach at the 6A La Cueva High School. While under her four-year leadership, her team had an overall record of 68 and 30, 4 district championships and 118 homeruns. To compliment this, the program also maintained an overall GPA of 3.6. Players from her program went on to compete at the Division I, Division II and NAIA level.
Ashley is currently completing her PhD in Sport Administration from the University of New Mexico.
