Bio
Jouney is an International Student Advisor at Mission College. As an International Student Advisor, she helps F-1 students stay compliant with their immigration status. Her background is in teaching English as second language and has taught ESL in both the U.S. and South Korea.
Prior to Mission College, she worked at various English language schools as an academic coordinator and ESL instructor. She has also done postgraduate studies in speech language pathology at California State University, Long Beach for one-and-a-half years before pursuing a master’s degree in International and Intercultural Education.
She also volunteers professionally for various groups within NAFSA: Association of International Educators, which has included mentoring new international educators, presenting at conferences, and working as community college representative.
