Jessica Leffler has been working with the Mission College Pharmacy Technician program since 2003.In addition to being the Program Director and an Instructor, Jessica currently works in the pharmacy industry as a pharmacy technician at Costco Pharmacy. Jessica, a seasoned technician of over 20 years, brings forth her experiences in both inpatient and outpatient settings from San Jose Medical Group, and Valley Medical Clinics in Santa Clara. She has specialization in outpatient retail pharmacy and psychiatric pharmacies too. Moreover, Jessica attends yearly educator's conferences and pharmacy conventions for the latest and greatest pharmacy innovations. She also works very closely with all instructors for curriculum development. In her free time, Jessica likes to spend time on the family boat at their lake house.

Noori Khadem-Devanneaux, CPhT, MPA/HSA

Noori joined the exciting world of pharmacy back in 1998 when she was in high school working as a pharmacy cashier. All though much of her pharmacy career has been in outpatient retail pharmacy she has experience in an array of pharmacy areas (retail, hospital, psychiatric, training/education, operations coordination). Noori has been with Mission College since 2003 and is currently co-director of the pharmacy technician program. Noori also holds a position as an instructor and Job Placement/ Externship director for the program and is involved in marketing, outreach to students and the community. Noori has worked at sites including Longs Drugs, CVS, Valley Medical Clinics, and currently at El Camino Hospital's In-Patient Pharmacy. She received her bachelor's degree in Public Relations with a focus in Health Science from San Jose State University and a Masters of Public Administration with an emphasis in Health Services from the University of San Francisco in 2011. Noori works very closely with students in Professional Development too. When not working you’ll often find her at the park with her daughter.


 

 


 

 


Instructor: Dr. Arjeta Lati, PharmD

Pharmacy Law

Dr. Lati is a 2009 graduate of Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Boston, MA. Dr. Lati’s fulltime job outside of the classroom is at CVS Pharmacies as Pharmacy Area Supervisor. Dr. Lati brings her California state law knowledge to the classroom and always has an eye out for good candidates looking for a pharmacy job.


Instructor: Dr. Angeli Garg, PharmD, MBA

Managed Care

Dr. Garg has an undergraduate degree in Medicinal Chemistry and received her pharmacy degree from the University of Pacific in 1999. She took her pharmacist degree on step further with a 1-year post gradate residency in managed care. After a period of time, she returned back to the classroom to receive a business degree from Santa Clara University. Although Dr. Garg has worked in outpatient retail pharmacies many years ago briefly, she has swapped out hands on work with tablets and various medications to a managed care settings. Currently, she is Director of Formulary Services for DaVita. Dr. Garg has been educating our students in Managed Care since 2011. Her hobbies include reading, hanging out with her family with 3 wonderfully feisty kids, and a glass of wine with good company.

Pharmacy Calculations

Pascal is a graduate of our pharmacy technician program. He was invited back a few years after graduation to work as an instructional assistant and after a period of time and experience has now become an instructor. In addition to working as a pharmacy technician, Pascal works as a medical assistant and is pursuing his education to be physician’s assistant.
