Mission College Art
Whether you like to draw, paint, sketch or create, Mission College's Art Department has something for everyone. Located in our Art Annex as well as in the Gillmor Center next to the Vargas Gallery, we offer a wide variety of classes for any interest.
- Earn an associates in art degree (AA or AA-T) or certificate in art, art history or creative arts.
- Take courses that satisfy UC and Cal State transfer requirements.
- Take a class for fun with credited art courses or community education classes.
- Come to an art showing at the Vargas Gallery.
- Many courses are just $46 a unit for an entire semester.
Classes to Consider Next Term
ART 033B • Basic Design: Three-Dimensional
We teach you the elements of creating art forms in 3D. We will work on the principles and elements of design as they apply to 3D art work.
ART 035 A • Life Drawing
For the art enthusiast! We are still using live models via zoom in 2021 and we teach you how to draw the human body.
ART 065A • Ceramics - Handbuilding
Students will be working on hand construction with clay and then take it to Mission College for firing. We are arranging for there to be a safe drop off and pick up location.
