Math Achievement Pathway to Success

The Math Achievement Pathway to Success (MAPS) program offers students an approach to success, particularly if you've had difficulty in previous Math courses.

MAPS classes cover Elementary and Intermediate Algebra in two semesters. Instructors, counselors, and tutors/mentors collaborate to help you complete your Mathematics requirements.


Q: Is MAPS a tutorial program?

A: No, MAPS is not a tutorial program.  It is a wrap-around Math support program in which you are registered in Math courses.


Q: Which Math courses does MAPS offer?

A: Students can register for Math 903M and Math 903MX (Elementary Algebra) and Math CM and Math CMX (Intermediate Algebra).


Q: Are these courses offered throughout the academic year?

A: No, Math 903M and Math 903MX are only offered in Fall and Math CM and Math CMX are only offered in Spring.


Q: What if I need to take Math C in the Fall?

A: If you want to take Math CM with the MAPS program you would need to wait until Spring.  Otherwise, you can register with a traditional Math C course in the Fall.


Q: What if I need to Take Math 903 in the Spring?

A: If you want to take Math 903M with the MAPS program you would need to wait until Fall. Otherwise, you can register with a traditional Math 903 course in the Spring.


Q: How many sections are offered each semester?

A: Only one section of each course is offered each semester Monday through Thursday from 9:20 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
