Transfer Student in Mechanical Engineering at SJSU
Department: Math, Engineering, Physics
It's overwhelming to have to think about what classes I need to take, which semester
I should take them, how to manage my time, how to make sure I'm ready to transfer,
and how to apply to transfer. If it wasn't for Theresa Lawhead at Mission's Counseling Department, I'm unsure how I would've managed. Theresa eased my anxiety and walked me through
so much.
I'm thankful to finally be a transfer student at San Jose State University thanks
to the help I got at Mission! In terms of my favorite classes, Dr. Bob's EGR-10 course
was exactly what I needed when I began to doubt myself as an Engineering student. Throughout the class, I learned what it meant to be an engineer and what it takes
to become one.
On top of that, it was great being surrounded by classmates of all different skill
sets, which made seeing everyone's final projects gratifying and fun. Now I find myself
wanting to learn more about computer programming and electronics during my free time.
