Transfer Degrees
Associate in Arts for Transfer & Associate in Science for Transfer
The California Community College system is excited to announce a new option for California State University transfer students – the Associate Degrees for Transfer. These degrees (AA-T & AS-T) allow students to complete an Associate’s degree and satisfy lower division general education and major requirements for transfer at the same time.
Students completing an AA-T or AS-T
- will earn an associate’s degree from Mission College;
- will get priority admission consideration;
- are guaranteed admission to a campus in the CSU system;
- will be prepared to start upper division coursework at the CSU;
- will not have to complete more than 60 units after transfer.

Transfer Partnerships
Now Mission College students will be able to earn their Bachelor’s degree right here at Mission College! Each program is one to two days each week, completed in approximately 1.5 years, with all classes held at Mission.

Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Transfer Guarantee
California community college students who complete certain academic requirements are now guaranteed transfer to several HBCU campuses. Visit the Transfer Admissions Guarantee link on the Transfer Center webpage for more information. Umoja is another resource for students interested in HBCU.
