Distance Education Handbook 

The MC Distance Handbook is a supplemental guide to the Mission College Faculty Handbook. The goals of the handbook are to: 

1. Define Distance Education.
2. Define the charge of the Distance Learning/Education committee.
3. Convey mandatory policies and procedures that relate to distance education courses.
4. Provide technical and pedagogical support and resources for distance education courses and online course materials.

Faculty Training and Resources 

Training for all distance learning faculty and those using electronic resources in courses are on the MC online learners group in Canvas. All MC instructors should become part of the MC Online Learners group in Canvas to receive training materials and resources for teaching online and/or providing electronic resources to students.

Various faculty members on the Distance learning committee provide a variety of best practices and examples of their course design on the site.
