What is an internship? An internship is a learning experience offered by a company for someone to gain insight into a particular field. Internships can be paid or unpaid, short-term or long-term and with small or large companies. More recently, companies have shifted to offering either in-person, remote, or a hybrid models. 

What are the benefits of internships? Internships are a great way to meet people and expand your network while you gain experience and insight into a field you are interested in. Internships give you valuable insight to make an informed decision about a major or career.

STEM Honor Societies

  • Phi Theta Kappa: On average, to be eligible for membership a student must have completed at least 12 hours of associate degree course work with a cumulative 3.5 GPA
