TRIO is responsible for increasing retention, graduation, and transfer rates of students that are first-generation in college, low income, and/or students with disabilities.

At Mission College, the TRIO programs are comprised of two projects (TRIO & TRIO STEM) designed to meet your specific needs.

While TRIO is open to all majors and supports students through graduation and transfer, TRIO STEM is designed to provide support for the needs and coursework specific to STEM majors.

Funded to serve 285 Mission College students each academic year, it is our priority to offer quality support services in a personal and caring manner to promote academic success.

TRIO Vision: We are actively engaged in creating a positive caring community that promotes diversity, leadership and student success.

TRIO Students Receive:

  • Individualized academic counseling, planning, and course scheduling.
  • Exclusive use of the TRIO office, computer lab, and study space.
  • Tutoring.
  • College success workshops.
  • Career readiness training.
  • Four-year college and university tours.
  • Silicon Valley company tours and professional events.
