About the Artist
Alma Rose Garza is a Studio Arts Major at Mission College, born and raised in San Jose, CA. Alma obtained a Medical Assisting degree in Applied Sciences, served in the United States Army for five years as a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Specialist as well as Digital Training Management Systems Operator, Armorer, and Ammunition Handler.
Alma has lived in Missouri, Washington, Texas, and Miami. Alma is an advocate representative for the California and Florida Down Syndrome Association. In Alma's spare time, she volunteers in local animal services and enjoys creating new art pieces as well as continuing my journey through the art community by regularly visiting museums, galleries, and art shows across the country.
