Undocumented Student Resources
Mission College is a public community college that strives to ensure students have access to resources to be successful.
The undocumented student population includes individuals without legal status, those with work authorization (DACA), and students whom are eligible for AB 540, AB 130, and AB 131. The following resources serve as a hub for students, faculty, staff, and the community.

California Dream Act Application/Financial Aid
The California Dream Act Application allows students interested in attending eligible California Colleges, Universities, and Career Education Programs to apply for state financial aid.
This application is unrelated to the federal Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. Apply by March 2nd for the upcoming school year!

Apply to Mission
Apply to be a student for free at CCC Apply, get a student ID number (in 2-3 business
days) and then register for classes when registration occurs. Go to apply.missioncollege.edu for details.

Complete AB 540/2000/68
Complete the AB 540/2000/68 fillable PDF form to waive nonresident tuition. Email it to Admissions & Records. Unsure if you meet

Orientation
Complete the free and self-pacedonline orientation.

Assessment
Take the self placement and assessment tests for math and English. (They take less than 10 minutes to complete). For ESL courses, complete our ESL Placement tool.

Register for Classes
Once you have your student ID number, log into My Mission Portal to pay and register for classes.

APPLY FOR FINANCIAL AID PRIORITY DEADLINE March 2nd:

Through the California Community College Immigration Services Project, nine Legal Service Providers have been contracted to provide immigration legal services, including DACA initial application, renewal assistance, and consultations to screen for affirmative immigration relief, to immigrant students, faculty and staff.
Eligible students, faculty, and staff can access these supports confidentially through identified host colleges in their region.
To access the DACA filing fee assistance, students, faculty, and staff need to make an appointment with the closest identified host college within your region, which can be found on the Chancellor’s Office website.

Complete your CA Dream Act financial aid application to see if you are eligible for the following types of aid:
- Cal Grant, Chafee Grant, Middle Class Scholarship
- UC Grants, State University Grants
- California Community College (CCC) California Promise Grant
- EOP/EOPS
- Some University scholarships
- Some private scholarships administered by campuses
Application deadline for all Dreamer Cal Grants and most of the other aid listed above is March 2.
